SYNOPSIS:

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We would expect candidates to have previous experience (3+ years for senior grade, 5+ years for associate grade) working for an engineering or environmental consultancy and have worked on a range of projects in the residential, commercial and industrial business sectors. Experience of working in the renewables, minerals and waste sectors is preferred but not essential.

It is anticipated applicants would have a good knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g. PPS25, TAN15 and SPP) and have proven experience promoting sites on behalf of developers.

Duties and responsibilities would include:

• management and undertaking flood risk assessments and SUDs design studies;

• attendance at client and regulatory meetings;

• business development and proposal writing;

• drainage design (conceptual and detailed); and

• prepare hydrology / flood risk chapters for environmental impact assessments.

It is expected that applicants would be conversant with some of the common hydrological modelling tools, such as, WinDES, FEH, HEC-RAS, ISIS, TuFLOW etc.
