| Details | AndyO@cardgeotechnics.co.uk Having recently recruited four new members of staff in our regional offices and strengthened our management team at Head Office, Card Geotechnics (CGL) is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior/Principal Geoenvironmental Engineer looking to develop their skills and career in our new Godalming head office. Our clients, which include land developers, infrastructure providers, major contractors and associated professionals, commission us on projects that vary in size and nature across the United Kingdom. CGL is enjoying an increase in demand from our strong client base, which is leading to an expanding workload. In 2011, we received a major award for “imaginative, innovative and bold” value engineering from Ground Engineering. The successful candidate will have graduated with a degree in geology, civil engineering or engineering geology and will have had 6 to 10 years’ experience with a specialist consultancy, or in a geotechnical/geoenvironmental department of a larger consultancy. A further specialist post graduate degree will be an advantage and chartered candidates will have a distinct advantage in the selection process. You will have a sound understanding of UK geology and/or UK construction practice and be looking to build on your prior experience by taking on challenging projects and more responsibility. Demonstration of experience and expertise through all stages of the land contamination assessment process will be required from desk studies through to ground investigation and QRA, and on to remediation design, supervision and validation. A general knowledge of geotechnical engineering and its interaction with land quality will be necessary and excellent report writing skills will be required. You will be expected to combine site work with the challenge of design work and analysis and project management in a dynamic office environment. We are able to offer you:
